Triathlon Completed!

To all those budding MHV triathletes out there I thought I would post on here that I just completed my 4th sprint distance triathlon yesterday (750/20/5) in 1:36:51. Not exactly what I would call a 'sprint' but nonetheless happy to have completed another one, even though I was coming off a bad cold and a lack of training!

My next goal is the Olympic distance triathlon which is 1.5/40/10 on 29 Jan however I will be preparing myself a whole lot better. Even though my cardiologist said endurance sports are overdoing it he also said to listen to your body, very important. I feel my body, albeit a little unfit at the moment, is happy to do these events.

Anything is possible with a MHV, just have to believe in yourself and your body.

Bring on the next one!

Hi Kev

No reason why you can't do a triathlon though it is a personal decision that you have to make and are comfortable with. Always check with the specialists as everyone's circumstances are different.

...and yes, north England as opposed to WA, perhaps an indoor sport would be better for you! If you decide to do one keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks Alan.

I don't think I'll be doing a triathlon any time soon. Still working back to fitness after dissection last year.

Currently trotting 5-7k and a bit road work on the bike here and there. I guess if I looked at some kinda' outdoor swimming at some point, I'd be half way there. Still, the North Sea or some green lake somewhere, isn't particularly appealing!
