I am just coming up to 5 mths post op (mechanical valve replacement) and have since December 2010 suffered from an irregular heart beat ranging from simply irregular to being in the 160's to 170's. I have been admitted to hospital on one occasion and had my meds changed more recently to treat the heart rate.I'm in need of some reassurance that this will be likely to subside as I find it unsettling to say the least and would otherwise have a 'pleasant' recovery.
