Carbomedics valve

Hi allAnyone here got a carbomedics valve? I thought I had an ATS valve until I went to my checkup. I think all the valves are meant to be pretty good and as others have posted before they should all in theory last forever. Would like to hear from people who have the carbomedics valve and how they are getting on! It seems like a good valve and is very quiet! See More

Found this positive study re Bentall procedure

Hi allI just found this article from another valve site.I'm sure many of you have had the Bentall procedure or something like it- aortic root + valve + potential ascending aorta. Anyway, a study that shows very postive results and expected life expectancy to an aged/ sex populationhttp://ats.ctsnetjournals.org/cgi/content/full/84/4/1186Very encouraging for all of us!See More

Hi all. I had successful avr last month with a mech valve. Everything went well. I had avr + root replaced. My surgeon told me the valve and the Dacron material will last forever without complications which is comforting as I really don't want to go through with this again! Although I recovered very quick the week post op wax probably the worst week of my life! The nurses and my friends really helped me get through it all and I'm extremely thankful to them. I had a 1 month post op check and…See More
