Spent two days in hospital climbing the walls!Was told on the first evening that the next days op wouldn'y go ahead but was scheduled for thursday. They'd keep me for the next day. Wednesday was told at about 4-5pm that my op was scheduled for 1pm the next day. 2 hours later I was told they had to cancel and that I might aswell go home. I broke up with two days of stress...Back to waiting for that phone call again. Hope no one has to deal with this as the stress is a nightmare.See More

The wait is most definitely the worst part, it will soon be over for you and you can start the recovery process. I am 11 weeks post op, had a St Jude mechanical valve. I wish you a speedy recovery.

cancelled again!

new op date
Just heard that I have to go in on tuesday the 22nd for the op the following day.
Still anxious but also hoping for the wait to be over as it was driving me mad!

op date
Hello,
Just had a phone call to say my op date is set for the 23rd April. Must admit I'm shitting myself.
Hopefully all will go well and I'll be able to let you know about it afterwards.
