Hi Tickers, i've been a member since June 2010 after being advised to join by a nurse in our local hospital here in Dartford. She told me it was a great source of information ( wow not wrong there then ).

I was born in 1960 with a biscupid aortic valve, never caused me any problems as i sailed through life being told i had a

murmur by every person who held a stephoscope to my chest. In January 2010 whilst having my HGV medical my GP said he wanted me to have some heart test's…

welcome to the group! i was also a sufferer of bicuspid valve disorder, but mine culminated in an aortic dissection, so you are lucky that you are "scheduled" for the replacement!
make yourself at home, post a bit about yourself in the blog section and chip in to some of the ongoing forum discussions...
