Hi Leo and welcome to our forum. Sorry ahve not welcomed you before this but have been v busy over at our other forum, www.aorticdissection.co.uk
In regard to replacements for warfarin/coudamin I was following this a few years ago but the then new drug they were trialling was knocked back by the FDA and they had to start all over again. A Reuters article in August last year mentions Pradaxa but it seems to still have some nasty side effects..and frankly it will be a battle royal as generic warfarin is incredibly cheap and this new drug - if it approved could cost as much as 500 usd a month. My thoughts are its going to be years before a substitute for warfarin/coudamin is available. Here's the link to the article: http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSLU62098620090830
