my daughter mia had a mechanical mitral valve in march last year,her INR range is between 3-4.we have been self testing since september & had no problems.roche xs.

we have had a coagucheck xs machine donated to mia from the childrens heart federation,so hopefully less trips to the hospital from now on !!!!!! ;)

A brave girl! And our youngest member..maybe its time to do up some t-shirts for us all..call us the tick tock club! And the tick tick is actually quite reassuring..she will get used to it a lot quicker than us adultss do/did..always questioning…

and welcome to the Mechanical Heart Valve Group! Interesting to hear about Mia - the young seem to shrug off valve replacement surgery and recover far quicker than adults - and she will grow up never knowing anything different! I'm a 7…

I'm a 7 year recipient of a new aortic valve from having a type A Aortic Dissection and now my scar is virtually invisible, and i hardly notice the valve - but it was not like that in the early days! So time heals everything - well nearly everything! ..Take care, hope to see you posting on the group now and again!
