Date for surgery makes it too real!

Having taken a chilled and relaxed approach to the up and coming heart surgery so far.  The arrival of a letter with a date has made the whole thing seem all of a sudden very real.  Not so chilled and relaxed about things now!

Nothing else has changed so why am I so terrified?
