Comment by Graeme on September 29, 2011 at 10:27 James.. I'm 8 years post op.. and you will EVENTUALLY sort of get used to the click tick thump machine.. :-) and even get to love it!! Think of it as your life saver..there is plenty of advice on the forum posts on the site about how to live with the new noise and sensations it produces.. especially sleeping with it. !
cheers
Graeme
Comment by Elaine Howlin on August 26, 2011 at 15:03 Hi James
Glad to hear you are progressing well but you unfortunately will have to get used to the sound of your valve. I am 4 months post op and you do get used to it and sometimes if your busy you won't even notice it. A lot is due to finding appropriatte positions which make it less audible. Welcome to the support group and hope you get the support you need.
Regards
Elaine
