Living with a Mechanical Heart Valve: Click.Tick.Thump. Love It!

Artificial Heart Valve Surgery & Living with Warfarin: UK Info Support Group

I had surgery on 5/27/10 at Hartford Hospital and am home now. I had suffered from a tight Aortic valve. I opted for the On-X mechanical valve. It was the first On-X transplanted at the hospital. On-X trained the staff and had a representative in the operating room. I barely notice the sound. I am still in the recovery stage and can't wait to get more active.

Best Wishes to all,

Mark

I am back at work full time now, and today my INR was NORMAL! so I dont have to back for testing for two weeks. Also my blood pressure is very good, and I am feeling great.

Mark, I assume you mean Hartford Hospital in CT.
I had mine done there as well, 10 years ago this past sumer.
I hope you are recovered at this point.

great news - I am looking forward to that - I go back in September, and feel guilty I am not back earlier as I am feeling so good most of the time.

I find the use of Bio Oil on scar available from Boots is very soothing.
